The KRIS Project

The Mission of The KRIS Project (Kids Recovery Identification Systems) is to educate parents and other caregivers about the importance of having a current picture, a record of vital statistics and other identifying information available in the event their child becomes lost or missing.
As founders of this children’s identification resource we have over 40 years of combined State Police experience. Because of our education, training, and experience, we are viewed as experts in the field. We are committed to providing families with products that can be used for law enforcement investigations.

“We all must do everything possible to assist in the recovery of a missing child, they are counting on us.” Karen B. Fortune, Director

Every family with children should have at least one KRIS KIT in their home. We encourage you to have additional KRIS KITS so that other family members will have this vital tool.

PHOTO I.D. CARDS
The KRIS Project offers advanced digital photo I.D. cards. Each I.D. card provides a high quality color digital photograph and your child’s vital information. The I.D. cards are wallet sized and portable. The cards are designed to be carried by parents for instant access to the identifying information of their child, for use in law enforcement investigations
FINGERPRINTING
The KRIS Project has trained fingerprint technicians on staff. Each fingerprint card is done to provide the highest quality evidentiary grade images. Fingerprint cards are completed using all 10 fingers, for a complete forensic record. Prints are taken in accordance with Federal Bureau of Investigation standards.
D.N.A. KITS
The KRIS Project offers take home D.N.A. sample kits. The kits allow parents to take a sample of their child’s saliva to use as important D.N.A. identification. The sample is preserved in a sterile container for use in a forensic lab should identification be necessary.
CHILD ALERT VIDEO
The KRIS Project is proud to provide one of the first Video Identification programs in the area. The KRIS Project will produce a one minute Video of your child. A Video will be provided to parents, allowing a true to life video record of your child. The video is designed to be used by media outlets in conjunction with the AMBER ALERT.
